Katakata—Laughter

Katakata will be dedicated to sources of joy! Often in mental health support, our capacity for joy within the process is ignored, and the process may suffer as a result. We aim to steer away from a deficit-facing approach as much as possible and see what we can do to incite and activate communal connectivity. We’re not saying you HAVE to be joyous all the time. We would just like to provide a space to acknowledge the impact laughter, smiling, and joyousness has on our hauora!

Out of all the spaces we have on TWK, Katakata is the one space where we will explicitly explore what’s available, what’s happening, and what’s of interest at any given time. We also want to have news about events and shows, memes, videos, gifs, and any small sources of joy our community has to offer. This space, we hope, will be one of our most collaborative.

We will compile information, research activations and extend an invitation to anyone who would like to share a piece of their joy as soon as we are able to get this page fully activated!
